The Heart Woman League was established in 2024 by Prophet Walter Magaya, the founder of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries and owner of Yadah FC. This new league, officially named The Heart League, came into existence following Magaya’s generous sponsorship of US$320,000 to boost Zimbabwean women’s football, which had been struggling financially.
The sponsorship is aimed at revitalizing the sport and supporting its top 16 teams. The funding covers match officials, a knockout tournament, and aims to help clubs reach international levels of competition, such as the Women's CAF Champions League.
Prophet Magaya's initiative is also intended to help the women’s national team, the Mighty Warriors, return to the global stage, much like their 2016 Olympic qualification. The league's creation reflects Prophet Magaya's dedication to improving women’s football in Zimbabwe.
Prophet Walter Magaya, a visionary leader and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, founded the Heart Woman League with the belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive. His dedication to improving the lives of women stems from his deep spiritual calling and commitment to fostering positive change in communities worldwide.
